BAR OPENING AND CLOSING CHECKLISTS

To ensure your establishment is ready to maximise revenue opportunites when you open your doors, you will need to establish an Opening Procedure. This should cover all preparations that the bar staff on duty must undertake in the time before service begins. We have created an Opening Checklist to give you a framework to establish procedures applicable to your business.

Similarly, when closing the bar at the end of the evening, you will need to follow a routine to ensure that all lights are turned off, doors locked, fires put out etc. Use our Closing Checklist to establish the procedures in your bar. Remember that by establishing Standard Operating Procedures in your business, you are ensuring that ALL staff are aware of the correct way of carrying out their duties and you will find it easier to train new staff when using your Standard Operating Procedures as a reference.
